To provide high quality service, Desert City Investigations and Security Inc. is committed to the selection, training and continual improvement of our staff. All of our investigative and security personnel are licensed by the Attorney General of British Columbia. Our investigators are second to none. We have two of the most qualified security professionals in British Columbia, Mr. David N. Tyson, our director of operations and Mr. Ronald J. Foyle, our senior security consultant. Our investigation team also includes Mr. Patrick Bodnard, company president.

Our investigative staff has the expertise required to return satisfying results to our clients. We have five licensed and bonded investigators with combined experience of more than 80 years in both criminal and civil investigations. Our entire division can boast over 130 years of combined RCMP and provincial police experience to handle whatever criminal activities may arise. Our highly experienced team is at your disposal. Their diligence, resourcefulness and skills bring our client’s security projects to satisfying conclusions. Our clients have enjoyed the recovery of assets they believed were lost, and found relief in experiencing guilty parties face prosecution.
Mr. Patrick J. Bodnard, President has 33 years of experience as a private investigator. He graduated from the Canadian Academy of Investigations at the top of his class with 100% on his final examination. Mr. Bodnard has conducted hundreds of investigations for large corporations, the legal community, consumer sector, major Canadian and International insurance companies. He has received numerous letters of recommendation from all of the aforementioned. Mr. Bodnard is the president of Desert City Investigations Inc., Desert City Security Inc. and Desert City Process Services Inc. (Legal Document Services).
Senior Security and Investigations Consultant
Mr. Ronald J. Foyle is our senior security and investigations consultant. Mr. Foyle is one of the most qualified and respected security and investigations consultants in Western Canada with over forty years of experience in the police, investigations and security industry. He has just recently retired from his position as head of security for the Workers Compensation Board, for whom he prepared and administered a 1.4 million dollar budget. He also held the position of Director of Police Services from 1989 through 1991, where he prepared and budgeted in excess of 3 million dollars for transit and police services for BC Transit.
A few of the positions Mr. Ronald J. Foyle held were:

Mr. Foyle has solved murders and recovered over one million dollars in stolen pearls. He completed the worldwide investigations of two heroin smuggling organizations and was in charge of policing Expo 86. He provided security for the Prince and Princess of Wales, Margaret Thatcher, and George Bush.
Process Service Manager
Donald Kerr is our Process Service Manager. Responsibilities include ensuring the client receives the absolute best security possible, and Desert City Investigations and Security Inc. guards continue to set the high standard that Desert City demands in professional uniform deportment and reporting.
Quality Assurance Person and Mobile Supervisor
Mr. Kyle Roberts has been employed with Desert City Investigations and Security Inc. for one and a half years. He takes care of night alarm response, patrols mobile sites, and trains new night drivers. He supervises special events, and does quality assurance checks on our guards out in the field.
Alarm Response Manager
Mr. Manfred Berker has been employed with Desert City Investigations and Security Inc. for seven years. Manfred has training in various areas of the security industry including static guard, process server, alarm response and alarm response training. Manfred was promoted to Alarm Response Manager within two months of his employment with us. His years of previous management positions coupled with his security experience gives him a strong foundation with which to grow in the security industry. Manfred is responsible for alarm response procedures and protocol. He ensures our clients interests are carried out professionally and diligently on a daily basis.
Investigative Journalism Consultant
Mr. Chambers. Desert City Investigations and Security Inc. may be the only private investigation agency in Canada with its own on-call investigative reporter. Major news organizations throughout the world frequently hire private investigators to investigate, research and document journalistic reports. Mr. Chambers has thirty years of Canadian and International experience in journalism as a reporter, photographer, and editor. He has produced many investigative articles for print and broadcast media. Aside from consulting with Desert City Investigations and Security Inc., he currently teaches business journalism at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops BC.
Mr. Garry L. Bergquist is presently working as one of our investigators. He is a former member of the RCMP and is a certified breathalyzer and traffic reconstruction analyst. Garry worked for ten years with the RCMP, being stationed in Alberta, the Yukon, and British Columbia. In this time, Garry spent two years working in criminal investigations in the plain clothes unit in the Whitehorse Detachment. He also spent six months as an undercover drug officer in the Yukon. During his time with the RCMP, Garry was regarded as a top notch investigator and specialized in statement taking, solving many serious crimes. During his tenure, Garry was involved in providing security for various head of state including Princess Anne and the Governor General of Canada.
Loss Prevention Supervisor
Mr. Neil Currie has seventeen years of experience in the loss prevention field. He recently retired from the position of Senior Loss Prevention Officer of Wal-Mart Canada. Mr. Currie was responsible for all the training of the Wal-Mart loss prevention staff. He has given numerous seminars in BC to shopping mall administrators and retail corporations. Mr. Currie has also received the highest loss prevention training available in Canada, trained in defensive tactics, pain compliance, handcuffing, and levels one and two first aid. Neil has received numerous letters of commendation and has given professional court testimony. He has prepared thousands of reports for the crown, and is considered an expert witness on loss prevention. Currently, Mr. Currie also works on site, training the staff that works under his direction at Costco.
Undercover Investigations Specialist
Investigator # 1064 is licensed with the Attorney General’s Security and Investigations Division. This investigator specializes in long-range distance photography, covert insertions, undetected surveillance and skip tracing. Investigator # 1064 has done numerous files for the legal community, ICBC, WCB, the private sector and a number of corporate entities. He is not named here because personal anonymity is an invaluable tool of his trade.
